2018  KILAUEA  VOLCANO  ERUPTION

Hello everyone!

It has been getting a little hotter here as spring progresses into summer. But still quite beautiful just as I am sure our friends in the southern hemisphere are experiencing the last of the beautiful autumn colors. These two seasons have got to be the most gorgeous seasons that God has given us. So as you can gather I am doing well, but my book sales are not going so well. I would appreciate any help you can give by telling your friends and families about my book or purchasing them yourself. I promise you won’t be disappointed!

Speaking of getting hotter…I’m sure most of you have heard about the devastating Kilauea lava flow in Hawaii. Though Kilauea has been continuously erupting since 1983, these recent eruptions are much more violent, even creating earthquakes. The ongoing eruptions are currently gushing lava and toxic gases swallowing many miles of countryside
and at least 25 homes.

The plumes of toxic gas and steam are called “laze” and are a combination of hydrochloric acid and ash plumes and occurs when lava hits the seawater. These dense white clouds of toxic steam are often accompanied by tiny shards of volcanic glass. “ ‘Just like if you drop a glass on your kitchen floor, there's some large pieces and there are some very, very tiny pieces,’ Janet Babb, a geologist with the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory, said. ‘These little tiny pieces are the ones that can get wafted up in that steam plume.’ Scientists call the
glass Limu O Pele, or Pele's seaweed, named after the Hawaiian goddess of volcano and fire.”1 Though these
plumes may look harmless they can cause much damage to skin and lungs.

Does it strike you a little sad that many of the people consider the volcano a goddess and even name harmful volcanic glass shards after it. I’m am so very thankful that the True God is kind and merciful, loving, fair, compassionate and trustworthy. Please pray that the Truth be revealed to all who follow false gods.

God bless and take care,
Willow
