We
learned last week that the Pre-Flood people were highly intelligent and had an
advanced society that included mining and forging of metals and the making of
and of course playing musical instruments.
If
we dig a little dipper into the Bible, we find more information about Pre-Flood
life. Genesis 2:1-12 (emphasis mine) says “The name of the first [river] is Pison: that is it which
compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold; and the gold of that
land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.
Again
there is a reference to mining, this time of gold and onyx. Gold for the most
part, is used in jewelry and decorations. Something a society considers only if
there is an abundance of life giving sustenance’s such a s food, shelter,
clothing etc. Onyx is a precious stone also used in jewelry. Not only does the
Bible tell us the people mined gold, it tells us that the gold was good. This
could mean two things; the quality of the gold was good, or the quantity of the
gold was good. Either way, it shows the people of that time understood and
appreciated good quality and/or quantity. Something the primordial half ape
half humans envisioned as our early ancestors by evolutionist would not be
capable of.
The
other thing mentioned in this scripture is bdellium. Bdellium is a precious gum
and is “likened to the miraculous substance called ‘manna’ in Number 11:7”1
This tells us that the Pre-Flood people knew about the properties of wild
herbs and trees for both food and medicine. A gum can be applied to wounds, and
since bdellium is likened to manna, it must have been edible. It is reasonable
to assume this knowledge had been imparted to Adam and Eve from God Himself and
passed on to their descendants.
Is
there any extra-biblical evidence to support what the Bible claims? As a matter
of fact, the answer is yes!
Coal
is the solid form of fossil fuel. The liquid form is petroleum products like
oil. Coal and oil were formed from the massive deposits of the Pre-Flood
biomass. Evolutionists insist these deposits were formed 300 million years ago
during the Carboniferous Period. However in 1944, a lump of bituminous coal
broke open when it was dropped and inside of it was…get this…a bell. Hmm, the
evolutionists still have no explanation. However such a find fits nicely with
the creation theory. As a matter of fact, after a “nuclear activation analysis
[it was] revealed that the bell’s
exact mix of metal was different from any known modern alloy production.”2
(emphasis mine). On a sadder note, the bell has a molded demon at the top of
the bell’s handle. Which unfortunately, also lines up with the recorded history
in the Bible.
Other physical evidence of a civilization from the Former World is a cast iron pot found in a coal seam at the Municipal Electric Plant in Thomas, OK. The following text is a letter from Frank Kennard, the man who found an iron pot:
Sulphur
Springs, Arkansas
Nov.
27, 1948
While
I was working in the Municipal Electric Plant in Thomas, Okla in 1912,
I
came upon a solid chunk of coal which was too large to use. I broke it
with
a sledge hammer. This iron pot fell from the center, leaving the impression,
or
mould of the pot in a piece of the coal. Jim Stull (an employee of the company)
witnessed
the breaking of the coal, and saw the pot fall out. I traced the source
of
the coal, and found that it came from the Wilburton, Oklahoma Mines.

The pot is now kept in the Creation
Evidence Museum’s archives in Glen Rose, Texas.
Another
incredible find is the London Artifact. Discovered in 1934 it was named after
the area in which it was discovered; London, Texas. “…members of the Hahn
family discovered a rock with wood protruding from it. They chiseled it open,
exposing the hammer head.”4 The fascinating thing is…this hammerhead
was discovered in the Edwards Plateau (rock layer) which also contains dinosaur
remains deposited during The Flood. “The wood is partially petrified and the
head is made out of a rare iron mixture with chlorine.”5 Something
that is not done today. Other
discoveries have been made as well including a, small zinc and silver vessel,
spear points, and mortars and pestles.
Of
course natural catastrophes, wars, disease and even God’s judgment on the
wicked rebellions would hinder the advancement of mankind’s technology. One of
two huge bottlenecks would have been the Noachian Flood. Two thousand years
of technological advancement had pretty
much been wiped out. “After the global Flood, there would have been a
catastrophic loss of technology. And we don’t know what kinds of technological
items, tools, and machines were brought on board the Ark by Noah. But after the
Flood, and as people increased in numbers on the earth, no doubt technology
once again exploded.”6
The
other major bottleneck to advanced knowledge was the confusion of the language
at the tower of Babel. Accumulated knowledge of the past would have been either
lost or divided into the different people (language) groups at that time. But
afterward mankind once again began to rediscover and accumulate information and
knowledge that allowed us to be inventive and to develop new technologies. But
with the langue barrier it took much longer.
“As
we see nations remain on the path of wicked rebellion against the One who
created all things and who owns us, we should be reminded that God has provided
a way of salvation from our sin and a rescue from eternal separation from God.”7
Now that we
understand the advanced technology of the Former World, next week we’ll
continue along the time scale and look at early Post-Babel technology.
Until then, God bless and take
care!

This week in the night skies; “The
big but dark-colored asteroid 324 Bamberga is reaching opposition at magnitude
8.1—an unusually close, once-in-22-years opposition. Seek it out near the
Circlet of Pisces…”8 For the southern hemisphere…Nova Delphinus is
still visible with binoculars.9

Hello! I am very interested in reading all of your posts, but can't seem to access them. I also would love to ask you a couple of questions. I am also in the research process of writing a book and I think you could help me figure out some details I am struggling with...if you are willing?
