BIBLE and EGYPTIAN CHRONOLOGY
PART LI
Hi again! I’m doing well except for all the blackbirds that keep descending on my place and leaving lots of waste I can do without! If I am tenacious enough to chase them away, after several days they usually leave. So I declare war on them!
Similarly, during the 19th Egyptian dynasty, Merneptah, the son of Ramses the Great, recorded great changes … “in the region’s power structure by listing many places Assyria had seized. His monument states, ‘Israel is laid waste, his seed is not.’ This inscription not only places the latter part of the 19th dynasty in the 8th century B.C.; it also documents that Israel was an actual nation by the time of the 19th dynasty.”1
After the 19th dynasty ended, the Third Intermediate and Late Periods begins. “The Third Intermediate Period contains dynasties 21–25, but some of these dynasties were concurrent, not sequential as assumed in the traditional chronology. In fact, the Royal Cache at Luxor contained a labeled 21st dynasty mummy wrapped in 22nd dynasty linen! The linen label names Sheshonq, the same pharaoh earlier mistaken for Shishak.”

Taharka the last pharaoh of the 25th dynasty, took his army and invaded Assyria. Taharka helped King Hezekiah by removing Sennacherib from Assyria. Taharka then even fought against assyrian domination of Egypt . This great pharaoh lived on until 664 B.C., where he perished in yet another battle whe nAsherbanipal sacked Thebes.

About 60 years later, “After Ninevah’s destruction, Pharaoh Necho II of the 26th dynasty marched to Carchemish, where the Assyrian remnant was making its last stand. On the way, according to 2 Chronicles 35, Necho killed Judah’s king Josiah at Megiddo. Returning from his 605 B.C. defeat at Carchemish, Necho took Jehoahaz as a hostage and placed Jehoiakim on the throne of Judah.”2
Then about 15 years later in 589 B.C., 26th dynasty pharaoh, Hophra, fled to Babylon after a coup of his kingdom occurred. In Babylon Hophra rounded up a sizable army and returned to reclaim his throne. However, the prophet Jeremiah, who had word from the Lord, predicted Hophra’s defeat which is recorded in Jeremiah 44:30.
“Isaiah warned against going down to Egypt for help (Isaiah 31:1). This phrase has come to symbolize a warning not to go to the world for truth. God determines truth. Historians examine fragmentary clues and fill in the gaps based on their presuppositions. Those presuppositions may be biblical or traditional. Accepting traditional Egyptian chronology necessitates rejection of biblical truth. Accepting biblical chronology allows a reconstruction of ancient chronology on a foundation of truth. Viewing the evidence from a biblical framework makes the histories of Egypt and the Old Testament fit together like two sides of a zipper.”

This week in the night skies; “Wednesday, February 5, The biggest and brightest asteroids, 1 Ceres and 4 Vesta respectively, are only about 4° apart in eastern Virgo in the early morning hours. They're magnitude 8.2 and 7.2, respectively.”3
For the southern hemisphere, “Aurora Alert Sunday 2 Feb - Morning 3 Feb 2014. A Coronal Mass Ejection is likely to hit in the next 24 hours. Expected arrival time is 9-12 UT (20-23 AEDT) +/- 7 hours. Isolated minor storms are predicted for high latitudes (Tasmania, Southern New Zealand, Australian Antarctic Territories) and possibly coastal Victoria tonight or tomorrow morning. NOAA has listed a G1 alert and the Australian IPS has issued an aurora watch. Look to the south from astronomical twilight (sunset +1hr 30 mins). As always dark sky sites have the best chance of seeing anything. SUBJ: IPS AURORA WATCH ISSUED AT 2335 UT ON 01 Feb 2014 BY IPS RADIO AND SPACE SERVICES FROM THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE A Coronal Mass Ejection is expected to impact the Earth within the next 24 hours, possibly resulting in moderate space weather activity and visible auroras during local nighttime hours at Tasmania, possibly the coastline of Victoria and similar latitudes. Aurora alerts will follow should favourable space weather activity eventuate.”4
