A DIFFERENT DIMENSION 

Hi guys and gals! How was your week, what did you do? In addition to work I was helping a friend in need so I didn’t get to do as much research as I had hoped. But I did find an interesting article and would like to share it with you.

We know from scripture that angels and God can live in a different dimension than us. “For instance, in II Kings 6, The King of Syria was intent on making war with Israel but every time he

tried to set a trap, the King of Israel was a step ahead of him.  This really frustrated the King of Syria, and one of the King's servants said that the Prophet Elisha ‘tells the king of Israel the words that you speak in your bedroom.’  So, the King of Syria finds out where Elisha is staying and sends his army to capture him.  Elisha's servant wakes up in the morning to discover the mountain "was full of horses and chariots…'  In fear, he asks Elisha, ‘...what are we going to do?’  Elisha prayed and said, ‘Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.’  The Lord opened the servant's eyes and he saw, ‘the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.’  When we begin to consider other dimensions that are parallel to ours, this all makes sense!

“Consider Acts, chapter seven.  Stephen is dying, as he is being stoned; in awe, he states, ‘Look!  I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!’  Or consider at the birth of Jesus, suddenly there was ‘a multitude of the heavenly host praising God…'  There's also Jacob's dream in Genesis 28, he sees, ‘a ladder was set up  on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.’’’¹

And of course Acts chapter 1 records when Jesus walked

through the walls or door of a lock room and His accession to heaven where He disappears into the clouds. 

Can science prove the existence of a different dimension? Well… “There was an interesting interview in 2006 with Lisa Randall, Professor of Physics, at Harvard University.   Based upon recent studies she said,   ‘One reason people think about extra dimensions is string theory, the hypothesis that fundamental particles are actually oscillations of tiny strands of energy. String theory gives you a way to combine two very different models of the world, quantum mechanics and general relativity. Basically, quantum mechanics applies on atomic scales, and general relativity applies on big scales. We believe there should be a single theory that works over all regimes. String theory does that, but only in a universe that has more than three dimensions of space. More generally, there's stuff we don't understand if there are only three dimensions of space, and some of those questions seem to have answers if there are extra dimensions.’  One of the things she states is that there are certain discoveries in Science that only

make sense if there are more than the 3 dimensions that we can see.

“In 2005, Frank Lee a Ph.d. in physics wrote: ‘a few years before 2000, researchers began to realize that those extra dimensions could be as large as the ordinary three dimensions. The reason why we cannot see extra dimensions is because all matter and electromagnetic waves (photons) are confined in a three dimensional sub-universe called ‘brane’. At present, we use mainly the electromagnetic waves (radio waves, infrared, visible light, ultraviolet, and X-ray) to see or detect things. Since the electromagnetic waves are

confined in our brane, this immediately explains why we cannot detect God if He lives outside of our brane.’ These new findings, if true, make the Scriptures even more clearer.”²

Now we as Christian creation scientists have to be careful of such studies for this study was based on evolution and the big bang theory. The idea is very interesting and may eventually be able to show scientific evidence of a different dimension. However we must never let something like that pull us away from the truth of scripture. But we may one day be able to use such evidence to prove there is another dimension in which the physical evidence once again backs up the Bible.
