 70 ANCIENT METAL BOOKS
FOUND IN JORDAN

Good afternoon!

I pray all is well with my fine friends in the United State of America and abroad! My week went well and I managed to get much needed work completed or at least started.

Speaking of abroad (except for those in Jordan), an astounding discovery that could change history was made in Jordan. Metal books bound by metal rings that actually mention Jesus. These types of books are called codexes,
(as opposed to scrolls). The ones found in Jordan were first discovered in 2008 but didn’t get officially announced until 2011. It was discovered by a Jordanian Bedouin who, according to some reports, was given the codices by his grandfather who discovered them after a flood. They were discovered in a remote cave in an area were many caves abound. That part of Jordan is known for Christian refugees
to have fled after the fall of Jerusalem in 70 AD.

When the discovery of 70 codexes was announced on BBC news, but “A number of scholars came forward to brand them fakes, most without ever seeing the codexes. Now tests conducted by Professor Roger Webb and Professor Chris Jeynes at the University of Surrey's Nodus Laboratory at the Ion Beam Centre, confirm that the tablet is compatible with a comparative sample of ancient Roman lead unearthed from an excavation site in Dorset.

“The experts said that the codex they tested 'does not show the radioactivity arising from polonium that is typically seen in modern lead samples, indicating that the lead of the codex was smelted over one hundred years ago'. They went on to explain how the testing suggests that the artifacts are indeed 2,000 years old.

“'While there may be variations in decay and corrosion that depend upon the environmental conditions in which the objects were stored or hidden, there is a strong underlying theme of decay from within the metal,' said the researchers in a press statement. ‘It is oxidizing and breaking down at an atomic level to revert to its natural state. This is not witnessed in lead objects that are several centuries old and is not possible to produce by artificial acceleration (e.g. through heating).’”

References to Messiah in ancient writing is depicted by an eight point star which is found throughout the books and they mention the names of the apostles Peter, John, and James, as well as Jesus Christ. There is even a “drawing” of Jesus! This is a photo of that page in the codex, but it is hard to see.

David Elkington, a British scholar of ancient religious history and archaeology, and one of the very few who had a chance to examine the codexes says,
the books suggest Christ was part of a Hebrew sect dating back 1,000 years to King David, who worshipped in the Temple of Solomon and believed in a male-female God. He also says the codexes say that Jesus didn’t come to start a new religion but to revise the ancient tradition of King David. I have to question that for several reasons…since 2011, has any other expert examined the codexes? Also parts are very hard to read and not all of the paleo-Hebrew was translated. And most important, the Bible says Jesus DID come to start a new way; for He is the Way, the Truth and the Life!

Professor Roger Webb of the University of Surrey's Nodus Laboratory from the Ion Beam Center stated, “If the lead is old, the writing is old. But there is no guarantee that what is written on them is true.”

There is one way to know beyond any doubt if it is true. If it matches the Bible, it’s true, if it doesn’t, it’s not, for all scripture is God breathed.

Until next time, God bless and take care!
