IS DNA CODING PROOF OF GOD?
This is my favorite time of the year and I guess you all know that because I’ve said it so many times, ha ha! I am just finishing up the final touches on my newest novel, The Golden Strand of Shinar, and have sent a synopsis to the publisher so please pray for an acceptance! Thanks my friends!
Speaking of accepting, this week we’ll learn the 3rd and final of the three questions that are having secular scientists asking; is this proof of a God?
The third question is; Does DNA coding reveal intelligence. First let’s learn a little about DNA…
|FRANCIS CRICK POINTING|
The first studies of DNA were done by molecular biologists in 1953 and even then these early scientists said that DNA is the brains behind the cells in our body. Francis Crick, evolutionist, Nobel prize winner, and one of the discoverers of DNA has stated that he believes DNA could never have originated on earth naturally. He then goes on to say he does believe that life must have come from outer space because natural selection could never have produced the first molecule.
Today, any honest scientist armed with all the knowledge available to us now, could only have one logical conclusion; the origin of life appears to be a miracle (taking place outside of the natural laws). Why would any atheist make such a statement? Because there are so many conditions which would have to had been satisfied to get DNA going. We now have over a half a
century of deep examination and scrutiny of DNA, and even the most fervent of evolutionists admit that the origin of DNA’s intricate complexity is…still unexplainable.
That’s because the coding behind DNA reveals such intelligence that it staggers the imagination. For example, a tiny pinhead full of DNA contains information equivalent to a stack of paperback books that would reach around the earth 5,000 times. You see, DNA operates like a programed language with an extremely complex software code. Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft, says that, “The software of DNA is far, far more complex than any software we have ever
developed.” Many scientists believe that the coding within the DNA molecule points to an intelligence far exceeding what could have occurred by natural causes. Instead it demonstrates that intelligence must have been involved to get these extraordinarily diverse elements together.
More than 50 years of DNA research have provided materials for a new and enormously powerful argument in favor of design and most scientists recognize the religious implications of these new discoveries. Stephen Hawking said, “There must be religious overtones. But I think most scientists prefer to shy away from the religious side of it.” Robert Jastrow, American astrophysicist and agnostic,
states, “For the scientists who has lived by his faith in the power of reason, the story ends like a bad dream. He has scaled the mountains of ignorance; he is about to conquer the highest peak; as he pulls himself over the final rock, he is greeted by a band of theologians who have been sitting there for centuries.”
Now the question becomes, how many scientists wonder if the Intelligent Designer is just a force like in Star Wars, or does He have a personal relationship with us. I think that our own lives give a clue to this. Since we have personal relationships with each other, and we are made in His image, isn’t it reasonable to consider that the Intelligent Designer who has created the entire universe in such an astounding way, would also create us to have a personal relationship with Himself?
Until next time, God bless and take care!
