GREETINGS!
Well my friends, this week’s blog is going to be short, but I promise, sweet. I'm teaching Vacation Bible School (a program for children that runs everyday for one week) at our local church. Thus the short blog and getting this out late to all you fine people.
I'm going to leave you with some thought provoking writings.
It is not science, so to speak or history. I have been reading a book by Ted Dekker called The Forgotten Way Meditations (of Yeshua [Jesus]) and I want to pass on to you this amazing thought from his book…
“Whenever you feel anxious or angry or dishonored (shadows) in
any situation, know that it is only because you have fallen out of alignment with who you are as the one who cannot be harmed. You are hidden in God with Christ. You are risen and glorified. Only your feelings and body can be harmed, and these are not who you are in Christ.
But never condemn yourself for being out of alignment. The (heavenly) Father does not condemn you.
Rather, be grateful that you can see that you have strayed off course and are missing the mark. Like a red light on the dashboard of your life, the shadows you experience (in this world) only tell you that you’ve lost your alignment.
Today, align yourself once more to who you are in the (your) eternal self, already one with and in Christ. As you do so each day, you are being transformed by the renewing of your mind. This is now your journey."
I have added a few words in parenthesis to make it a little clearer, otherwise this is a direct quote from Ted Dekker’s book.
May you all have a wonderful journey this week discovering your true (spiritual) self!
God bless and take care,
Willow Dressel
